Konnichi-wa! (Hello!),
Hoodnomics.com has been a project that has taken me a long time to figure out. I came up with the name in 2006 and all I did was just bought the web address. In August of 2009 I decided to get this project up and running. At first I was going to make it a social networking website and then I just trashed that idea. So, I had a twitter page design in October of 2009 to try build a buzz about this project of mines. Then December 2009 I decided to just make this a blog. Now you have it www.hoodnomics.com!!!
I came up with the name by combing hood & economics together. I choose the word hood as part of the name because I am from the hood type environment. When I talk about hood…I’m talking about the money-making side of the hood. The entrepreneurship that exist in the hoods, ghettos, trailer parks, and etc. The hoods of America and even the world are full of creative people. These poor & rough streets have blood, sweat, and tears cover them because there are people especially the younger generation who strive to make something out of themselves from the hood. Economics deals with business, government, finance, health, community, and everything else in the world. Therefore I combine the two words together to represent for people from all type of hoods and urban life across the world.
Like I mention before this is a blog that will represent for the hoods and urban life across the world. This blog will touch on the economics of this group. As time goes on and as popularity of this blog grows. There will be more writers to post often on this blog. Therefore, welcome and fell free to post anything you want on this blog but please be mature about it.
