Shine Together

Don’t worry…I’m good.
I’m going to do me.
I’m going to make a come up.
You will see.
6…3 and 250 pounds.
You jumping out in front a 18 wheeler.
If you ever try to stop me.

Don’t ever stop another person from climbing.
That’s disrespectful to me.
There are, God only knows the number of stars in the sky.
Yet they all shine together.
If the end of the world does come, we all are going to die together.
Since the apocalypse isn’t here yet, why don’t we all just shine together.

Let us uplift one another more.
Lets pay a good deed forward.
Love to live and live to love.
That’s not a tall order.
God bless you from Von Nola.

(Shine Together)

Ninja! I Want To Do Me!

Sometimes I wonder if I’m living a dream or a movie.
I have a passport with three different country’s stamps.
I’m getting my forth one this year.
My world went from being a ninja from New Orleans to a man seeing the world.
I stay stepping out of my comfort zone because I want to see, experience, and learn more.
I don’t want to get comfortable.
I don’t want to be complacent.
I want my world to be forever changing and always amazing.
I’m tired of seeing cool places and things in movies.
I want to see them for myself.
I don’t want a normal life.
That rat race will drive me crazy.
I want no borders or boundaries.
Ninja! I want to do me.

The world we live in is always changing around us every year, month, week, and day. Yet, people don’t want to change or reinvent themselves so they can be better. They don’t want to let go of their comfort zone. Holding on to old things can keep you from progressing to the next level in your life and/or career. It can be better for you to embrace the unknown because sometimes what we know, can cause more harm to us. Try each day or once a week doing something outside your comfort zone. Start small and work your way up. A simple waving or saying hello to a stranger can be a good start.

(Ninja! I want to do me!)

The Power Of The $1 Retweet

Crowdfunding is the collective cooperation of people who network via the internet, to pool together money and resources to support efforts of people or organizations.

At least $1 from each person from my theory I’m about to explain can go a long way. Lets use Twitter for this theory of mines. I have 200 plus Twitter followers. If each of them gives $1, that is $200 made at least. If they retweet my link and ten of their followers give $1, that is around $2,000. Just like that $2,200 is made so far. This can be applied to selling a product, service, or trying to raise funds. This all depends on having supportive followers who wants to give and who will retweet.

The average person spends $1 on a lotto ticket, vending machine snacks, fast food, cup of coffee, bottle water, gum, and etc. One dollar can add up if the power of the retweet is used right.

Right now I am running a fundraiser on Trip Raiser to help me raise funds for my trip to Japan and Italy in September. I’m calling my trip Ninjas In Japan and my goal is to raise $3,000 by August 30 of this year. If you donate just a $1 and retweet or repost this blog. That will help me prove my retweet theory does work.

Thanks for reading and retweet.

Blackanese

Blackanese in the Urban Dictionary it is defined as “an individual of both African and Asian descent”.  I have a project that I want to work on and I want some feedback from you on what you think of it. I want to produce and publish a photo book with images of half black and half Japanese descent people who are here in Japan. It will be comprised of 50 pages front and back of Blackanese people from Japan. I want to  do this because not everyone from my home city, New Orleans or the United States, can get a chance to visit Japan and see that African-Americans has people over here too. I want this to be a piece of art work that captures the beauty of two cultures from different sides of the world coming together to create beautiful children.

I have a few friends who likes to do photography and I will ask them to come along with me to do the photos. I’ll handle the designing and interviewing the people. I need some ideas on how can I send out a message to the Tokyo area?
